Pregnancy Massage is a massage that is different from a regular massage. This massage is a wonderful way to help many of the discomforts and promotes a sense of well-being.
Massage therapy has been demonstrated to be effective during pregnancy. Women who received massage therapy reported to decrease depression, anxiety, and leg and back pain. Cortisol levels decrease and, in turn excessive fetal activity decreased, and the rate of prematurity was lower. Women who received massage therapy experienced significantly less pain and their labours where on average 3 hours shorter with less need of medication.
